These moments when the flames of the candles emancipate the shadows, when words are adorned with sugar and the air thickens in the volutes.

The Candle 02, created for BON PARFUMEUR by Karine Dubreuil, celebrates these climaxes of night heat that the day always envies. Initially the notes of lavender of Provence and coriander seeds radiate. Soon joined in the heart by a sweet and opulent honey, the spicy scent of Ylang-ylang from the Comoros and the mischievousness of aniseed. The Tonka bean in the background is the greedy final note, like a dessert, which one would bring to the mouth in alternation with a touch of blond tobacco.
